With the outbreak of the Korean War, Haverford launched what would be its most recent foray into graduate education: the Social and Technical Assistance program, which ran from 1951 to 1956.

Robotics Club Tackles Drone Project

For its second project (and in only its second year of existence) the Haverford Robotics Club built a quadcopter with attached GoPro camera to capture beautiful aerial shots of campus.

Nerd House Brings Ren Faire to Haverfest

Nerd House programmed several activities during Haverfest weekend including a Renaissance Faire, which featured jousting, a dunk tank, a pancake-eating contest, kite-making, and more.

DIY Boatmaking

A visit from New York artist, publishing, and-boatbuilding collective Mare Liberum, in conjunction with Joshua Moses’ course “Do It Yourself Movements and American Environmentalism,” culminated in a workshop in which students and community members built a punt and launched it on the Schuylkill River.
