A Future for "The Havermap"?
Now that Special Collections’ map exhibit in the library is over, what will happen to “The Havermap?” The large aerial view of the campus, conceived by Eli Blood-Patterson ’11, aimed to map the “social geography” of Haverford and invited viewers to tag different spots on campus with their recollections of personal events that happened there.
Haverford Conference Celebrates Entrepreneurship
The Career Development Office and the John C. Whitehead ’43 Program in Entrepreneurial Studies sponsored an all-day conference on Fords and the Entrepreneurial Spirit. Attended by alumni and current students, the on-campus event was geared towards those who have started their own business or those that hope to in the future.
German Talk Takes On The Language of the Pennsylvania Dutch
On Friday, March 16, Professor Mark L. Louden, professor of German at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, gave a talk on Pennsylvania Dutch language, an often forgotten language, primarily spoken by the old-order Amish and Mennonites.
And The Winner Is… (And Its Skee-Ball Tournament) Opens in the Gallery
Friday, March 16, And the Winner Is… opened at the Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery. The social practice exhibit will grapple with the intersections between competition, cooperation and community through a massive skee-ball tournament in the Gallery and a series of ambitious artist residencies and curricular interventions.

Allie Lake ’14, Arman Terzian ’14 and Dan Feller ‘13 have organized a series of lectures and workshops, called Manage Your Mind: An Introduction to the Practice and Science of Mindfulness, designed to expose the Haverford community to a variety of perspectives on mindfulness meditation, emphasizing its role in stress-management and emotional well-being.
