The “Mad Science” of Spring Formal 2015

Spring Formal had the right “formula” this year for a rousing event.

This year, Student Events Committee brought back an old tradition: The Spring Formal.

Historically, the second semester version of the Fall’s Snowball, the Formal provides an opportunity for students to get dressed-up in their finest and show off their dance moves. The theme of the event this year was “Mad Science,” and it attracted a few hundred students.

The West Wing of the Dining Center was transformed, and test tubes full of non-alcoholic drinks cleverly called the Marie Curie and the Neil deGrasse Tyson,  among others, were available for all. Copious chicken tenders and other finger foods were catered by the Dining Center. In fact, the appearance of Dining Center employee Charles Young every half hour with fresh platters brought cheers from the crowd.

The event was a rousing success, by all accounts, and Fords hope to see a repeat next year!
