More than 830 alums returned to Haverford’s campus from May 29 to June 1 for a jam-packed Alumni Weekend 2025 filled with moments of reconnection, reflection, and celebration. Members of reunion-year classes gathered to swap stories, while a wide range of programming—from sustainability tours and yoga sessions to thought-provoking panels and festive parties—offered something for every Ford.
The weekend included the presentation of the Alumni Association Awards, honoring Fords who have made extraordinary contributions to their professions, communities, and the College. During a ceremony in the Michael Jaharis Recital Hall led by College President Wendy Raymond and Alumni Association Executive Committee President Scott Burau ’02, seven Fords were honored.
John Morse ’73, who has been a member of the Haverford Corporation since 1974 and a member of the Board of Managers for 12 years, received the Kannerstein Award; Woody Neighbors ’75 received the Haverford Award in recognition for his work as a public health social psychologist; Daniel Dae Kim ’90 received the Distinguished Achievement Award; Anjan Chatterjee ’80 received the Forman Award; and Mitchell Cohn ’80 received the William E. Sheppard Award, which recognizes exemplary service for alumni activities. The Young Alumni Award, which recognizes future leaders, was presented to two recent alums: Carlotta Pazzi ’20 and Leslie Patricia Luqueño ’20.
One of the most poignant moments came Saturday afternoon when members of the Class of 1980, celebrating their 45th reunion, were able to participate in the tradition of ringing the bell atop Founders Hall for the first time, a tradition that began after the class’s graduation. Elsewhere on campus, families enjoyed the always-popular Family Fun Fair, while affinity groups, such as Rainbow Quorum and international alumni, hosted vibrant gatherings. Panels highlighted the College’s evolving approach to athletics, the Honor Code, and innovation, while tours showcased sustainability efforts and special collections in the library.
Of course, no Alumni Weekend would be complete without dancing—whether at the Underground Dance Party, class-specific celebrations, or the Saturday night beach-themed bash.
It’s not too early to start making your plans for Alumni Weekend 2026! Mark your calendars for May 29 to 31 next year as we welcome back members from class years ending in 6 or 1.
