Haverford On The Web: Tuesday 9/30

Tom Devaney teaches poetry here and is quoted extensively in a Philadelphia Inquirer article about an upcoming celebration of banned books.  Tom will be reading a passage from Erasmus’ “The Praise of Folly,” a satirical essay critical of the Catholic Church, at the Rosenbach Museum and Library in Philadelphia Friday night.  “The program will explain what was banned and why,” said Judy Guston, the museum’s curator and director of collections.
