Jeremy Golan ’09, who recently returned from Cambodia, came to campus this week to give a talk about his experience serving in the Peace Corps. One of the founders of the Haverford College Microfinance Club, Golan worked on several microfinance projects during his time in Southeast Asia.
Golan spoke candidly about his experiences as a volunteer in the Peace Corps and of his more recent experience dealing with the Cambodian genocide. He also addressed how his time spent working with the Center for Peace and Global Citizenship as a Haverford student colored his experiences abroad and helped his work, and gave advice to students interesting in applying to the Peace Corps after Haverford.
Golan’s talk was part of the CPGC Young Alumni Series.
