On Saturday, February 26, everyone was invited to enjoy the Black Love Formal. The evening of dinner and dancing is just one of the many events Haverford’s Black Student League hosts, in addition to conferences at universities in Philadelphia and cultural parties. For just $5, students could pre-order a ticket that included a catered dinner of steak, vegetables, creamy tortellini, mango juice and several different types of cake. The Black Love Formal is one of the few events that typically draws students from all three schools in the tri-college consortium, and it really helps to strengthen connections between the colleges. Plus, the Black Love Formal is simply a great time. We all came in our best formal wear and danced the night away after eating a great meal.
What a great way to cap off the celebration of Black History Month at the College!
