The Nude Redefined: Photographs of Interiors, a beautiful new show by Sarah Kaufman ’03, opened at the Alcove Gallery in the Magill Library on Friday, February 11. To celebrate the opening of the show, which features male and female nudes photographed in their homes before or after work, Kaufman gave an artist talk in the Chase Auditorium, during which she discussed her work. Kaufman, whose work since her senior year at Haverford has concerned the human body and its placement in space, earned her MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and is now teaching part-time at Ursinus College.
Couldn’t make it to the show on opening night? The Nude Redefined will be hanging in the Alcove Gallery through March 6, and Kaufman’s talk was recorded for the Department of Fine Art’s archives.
